Monitoring and evaluation

Monitoring and evaluation

Monitoring and evaluation are key processes to help to give an overall assessment of how well the Structural Funds have worked in Wales.

Monitoring reports

Programme monitoring reports are discussed at meetings of the All-Wales Programme Monitoring Committee (PMC), which are available in the PMC section.

In addition, WEFO produces Annual Implementation Reports (AIRs) covering the implementation of the programmes during the previous calendar year.

Evaluation reports

In line with European Commission Regulations, WEFO commissioned Ex Ante Evaluations of the 2007 - 2013 Programmes to ensure that the Programmes were designed to achieve maximum benefit for Wales.  The Ex Ante Evaluations were an integral part of the development of the Programmes and performed a useful quality check on the Operational Programme documents. The Ex Ante Evaluations can be found as annexes to the Operational Programme documents.
