Inter-Regional Co-operation Programme (INTERREG IVC)

The programme aims to support traditional networking through regional initiative projects and capitalisation projects aimed at disseminating best practice into mainstream Convergence and Regional Competitiveness and Employment programmes. It covers the EU27, plus Norway and Switzerland.

The priorities are detailed in the Operational programme which was agreed by the European Commission on 11th September 2007.  The maximumintervention rate for organisations in Wales will be 75% of eligiblecosts. The total ERDF budget is €321 million.

Applicant guidance

Following the 1st call for applications, applicants should be aware that there have been important changes to eligibility rules. Please see the programme website for the changes.

Presentations given at Lead Applicant Seminars so far in Tallinn, Lille and Cyprus are now available to download from interreg4c.eu.  The same information is provided at all the events, so these presentations can be used as a referencing tool to advise on project development, financial and budgeting, and communication and publicity requirements.

Progress of programmes

Four application calls have resulted in €302m worth of ERDF grant allocated to projects - committing the full operational budget allocated for the programme.  Welsh partners are involved in 13 projects worth some €18m in ERDF grant.
