The European Commission's draft regulations governing the future Structural Funds (2014-2020) are now available

The draft EU regulations for the Structural Funds (external link), published on 6 October, mark the beginning of the development of the next round of programmes between 2014-2020, and will be subject to negotiation over the next 15 months. The draft regulations outline proposals for the development of interventions aimed at delivering Europe 2020’s objectives of smart, sustainable and inclusive growth.  The proposals also  include greater use of financial instruments to deliver projects like JEREMIE and JESSICA,  and better integration between EU programmes, including Structural Funds, rural development and fisheries programmes, to help simplify access to European funding and maximise its impact.

Following the publication of the draft regulations, the Deputy Minister for Agriculture, Food, Fisheries and European Progammes, Alun Davies AM issued a Written Statement on the Commission's proposals.
