Developing your project
A detailed business plan submitted by sponsors is an important part of the ‘project development’ or ‘detailed assessment’ phase that will enable the Welsh European Funding Office (WEFO) to consider more comprehensive information about your project proposal and help us make a funding decision.
This section provides information to sponsors whose project proposal or Expression of Interest (EoI) for European funding has been accepted by WEFO to go into the project development or detailed assessment phase.
A WEFO Project Development Officer (PDO) will be assigned to you to help you, step-by-step, through this important process of developing your project.
We have also produced a range of guidance that may be relevant for consideration in developing your project, such as the use of indirect costs and use of the flexibility facility, and in-kind match funding. It is also critical that your business plan includes details on how your project will incorporate the Programmes’ cross-cutting themes of Equal Opportunities and Environment Sustainability.
Your assigned WEFO PDO and/or Spatial European Team (SET) contact will be able to clarify, as well as discuss with you any queries you may have on developing your project to ensure you meet WEFO and EU requirements.
