- Beth fydd y prosiect yn ei wneud?: Background: The current climate of financial constraints, efficiency agendas, austerity measures etc. places higher demands on Project Managers to be equipped with a broader skills set than has been traditionally required. Project Managers need to understand the differing Political drivers, the varied legal constraints on sovereign bodies and the imperative for change, providing greater assurance to a wider audience. A programme/project discipline is becoming more of a requirement which in turn presents higher peer level and cross boundary working within different political arrangements, scrutiny and greater challenges. Project Mangers must demonstrate the ability to lead with confidence, support the people aspect of delivering strategic change and influence with integrity. The current market place does not provide a development that offers a balance of softer skills, managing behaviors, organisation culture changes and a structured process as a blended experiential learning journey. The proposed programme will provide the opportunity of creating a product that will address the current skills gap, to develop a more rounded Project Leader with transferable skills to operate across the Welsh Public Sector and beyond. What will the project do? * : • The project will broaden current skills set of Project Managers to address the current skills deficit; and encompass more than just a project management methodology/process • The project is unique in the sense that it will currently be the only project to offer a programme that joins up the three mains disciplines of Change Management, Project Management and Leadership. • The project will offer the opportunity for practical, interactive, on the job, experiential learning, introducing an individual to a journey to become a competent, more rounded Project Leader. • The project will improve consistency and continuity of approach which will in effect improve services for customers. • The project will support the implementation of the various commitments singed up to, as part of the Public Services Leadership Compact Agreement. • The project will allow flexibility to accommodate the learner’s varied experiences
